Provided extensive support to a major North American car manufacturer in the development of proposals and the preparation of Technical Descriptions for many types of rail equipment. Provided support in technical writing and engineering analysis in the design of rail systems and equipment.
Evaluated Technical Proposals for various system components including equipment for propulsion, trucks, brakes, couplers, interiors, glazing, doors, HVAC, electrical, and controls systems.
Provided directive for complete disassembly of a Bi-Level Commuter Car for GO Transit. Complete review of all systems and structure of the car to define the required needs for the refurbishment of the 18-year old cars. Provided costing breakdown to define project budget prior to tendering and developed technical tendering documents for the refurbishment program of the Bi-Level cars.
