 TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR TRUCK OVERHAUL
- On-site inspection, and the preparation of overhaul and repair procedures for a modern, high speed, tilting rail truck.
- Technical support for the evaluation of the integrity of the truck components and its systems.
TRUCK CONFIGURATION FEASIBILITY
- New truck concepts required for major North American prototype and production orders for New York and Chicago.
- Configuration design and evaluation. Truck kinematics and dynamic studies. Finite Element modeling.
WEIGHT REDUCTION OF LOCOMOTIVE TRUCK CASTING
- Performed stress analysis and redesign of three axle locomotive truck frame, to achieve major weight reduction. Provided technical support during static load test on truck frame.
TRUCK FAILURE PROJECT
- A European train imported to a North American passenger railroad experienced continuing truck structural failures.
- Stress, material and component failure analysis. Truck structure redesign. Detail and production drawings, weld procedures. N.D.T. liaison. Strain gauge field tests of existing and modified vehicles.
TRUCK STRUCTURAL PROJECT
- Investigation of replacing existing trucks with improved and compatible versions.
- Truck function analysis. Existing component failure assessment. Component redesign and OEM review. Configuration and detail drawings.
